I
audited this class in preparation for facilitator
training, so it was the 2nd time I participated
in the MBS class. I love it. I feel this class
has helped me in ways I never would have imagined.
I enjoyed the class in a different way than
the first time I joined. I was anxious each
week to see the difference in the new women.
It was amazing, the transformation. One of the
women truly bloomed with each class. She came
in to the first class depressed and not much
to say. She has transformed into a woman full
of self-confidence and a real upbeat outlook
for the future
I hope the MBS class will
continue at The Rose. It is such a great class
to help all people cope in a difficult world.

"Surgery,
chemo and radiation treat the physical body,
but this class addresses the mental, emotional
and spiritual issues that are also an integral
part of healing. This course was pivotal for
me. I learned techniques and tools that I will
use for a lifetime and will not only apply to
my journey through cancer, but to many aspects
in my life. I am more productive, more calm,
more focused than ever before, and I have learned
ways to keep fear from crippling my ability
to live. I gained a sense of spiritual centeredness
that I had never experienced before. I would
encourage anyone to make this class part of
their healing journey." Cindye S.
"This
program helped me stay on a given course. It
helped me make time for myself. I enjoyed the
concepts and have been telling everyone about
this program. Things do not seem to bother me
as much as they once did. I now take time for
myself and let bygones be bygones. The meditations
were all so valuable. With what I have learned
from this program I can face tomorrow as a future
and not as a past. I believe what I truly got
out of this program can be seen from day to
day as it was the first step for helping me
move from stress to a better life. Please share
this program, there are so many who really need
it like I did." P. Williams, educator
"I
am amazed how this class changed my life! It
sounds so corny, but I feel so different inside-so
much more relaxed and "whole". I was
a late bloomer and didn't do much of the exercises
on a regular basis. I really see the value now.
I find the Kundalini exercise so powerful. Thanks,
Marnie, for being such a great spiritual guide
for us." Susan S., business owner
Most
people diagnosed with breast cancer want an
answer to the question Why? However,
as we all know, there are not any answers. Accepting
this fact about our disease takes some deep
soul searching. From the things I have learned
in this class, I can say now that it doesnt
matter why I have breast cancer; the question
now becomes: What purpose does this experience
serve in my life? I have been able to get a
better grip on the answer to this question during
the past few weeks. I feel more peace with the
disease now; I know I can handle it. D.M.
This
class has taught me not to worry so much about
things I cannot change.
I dont
worry as much about my health. I learned that
I will be okay as long as I believe in myself
and think positively no matter what the doctors
diagnosis or test show. I learned self-discipline,
motivation, meditation, and I know how to focus
better. I was amazed every week at how many
new things I learned and how all the practices
really worked to help me cope with everyday
life. J.M.
This
class has been interesting, challenging and
rewarding. Interesting because it requires you
to look deep into yourself. Challenging to become
more honest with yourself. Rewarding because
to do so and accomplish knowing yourself better
on a deeper level is freeing. I would recommend
the MBS class to anyone who may have the opportunity
to attend. It offers tools for a better and
fuller life! S.A.
The
class helped me trust my instincts more, which
has made me more confident in my decisions about
my treatment and other life choices. It has
been great all the way, thank you for letting
me be a part of it. R.R.
The
following testimony is from a breast cancer
survivor who participated in the MBS program
that has been translated to Spanish:
I
am so grateful to have the opportunity to participate
in this program. First of all I have been in
Houston for only four months and this program
have given me the opportunity to meet persons
who understands my situation. This program makes
me feel active in my health project and not
be passive waiting for the doctors diagnosis.
The immediate consequence is that this improves
my life quality. My attitude to daily life is
just positive. I feel it and my family have
noticed it. Irma Alcantara
