Marnie
Morrison has been
an IT professional for more than twenty years.
The connection between the mind and the body
has always fascinated her. In addition to studying
the mind / body connection, Marnie has studied
stress management, meditation, breath work,
healing touch, yoga, aromatherapy and more.
She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural
Healing and is a certified hypnotherapist. Marnie
says that facilitating the Mind Body Spirit
Classes has truly become her passion.
I was always interested in the mind, body, spirit
connection and dabbled in dream interpretation,
meditation, and yoga. But my interest became
very serious in 1987. My annual mammogram revealed
a lump in my breast. My doctor wanted me to
have it removed immediately. I decided to get
another opinion and went to a well-known breast
surgeon. She told me that the lump did not look
like cancer. She wanted me to go home, study
stress management, exercise, eat healthy, take
vitamins, and get plenty of rest and come back
in six months. In other words, take care of
myself. I did just that.
I
guess you can figure out the ending to this
part of my story. I went back in six months
and THE LUMP WAS GONE! You can also guess that
I became a very serious student of the mind,
body, spirit connection.
I
began taking classes and reading more books.
I discovered the power of hypnosis and became
a Certified Hypnotherapist. I still enjoy watching
people achieve what they desire through hypnotherapy.
It is very rewarding.
I
was introduced to Denise and her program at
The Rose in Houston a few years ago. I was very
impressed with the results she was achieving
with the Mind, Body Spirit classes for breast
cancer survivors. I took the facilitator training
and now enjoy teaching these classes and watching
women become empowered by what they learn. Teaching
these classes is the most rewarding thing I
have ever done. I am thankful for this opportunity.

from Denise
Marnie is a God-send! I knew she was one
of us the first time I met her and heard
her intuitive insights in class. She and I also
share a common love for hospice and working
with people during the end stages of life. However,
our work is to go beyond traditional
hospice, helping people make peaceful and gentle
transitions to the other side. In essence, our
mission is to become mid-wives in
the death transition. Marnie is committed to
teaching people how to access their inner wisdom,
and is the only facilitator besides myself,
who is currently teaching our Advanced Lessons,
the series beyond the first twelve weeks.
